In the TEQ Summer Issue, the spotlight is on the monumental I-376 Commercial Street Bridge slide scheduled for July. This feature takes a deeper dive into the precision, coordination, and expertise demonstrated by our construction and demolition teams, as well as the extensive planning behind PennDOT’s timing, traffic management, and roadway closures.

The project showcases the strength of local talent, bringing together union laborers, carpenters, cement masons, operators, and more than 50 subcontractors, all working in close coordination to execute this complex operation. From pre-construction planning through execution, every detail has been carefully orchestrated to ensure safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to the traveling public.

Widely recognized as a feat of engineering, the project involves moving a 22-million-pound bridge into place within a highly compressed timeline. Achieving this milestone requires not only advanced technical expertise, but also seamless collaboration across teams, demanding nothing short of technical precision at every stage.
