Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. has announced the newest cohort for its Leadership Development Initiative. This year's group is the 31st cohort to participate in the LDI program, which focuses on high-potential emerging leaders from across the region. The LDI XXXI cohort has 49 members.
“This cohort represents a diverse, bright, and dynamic group of emerging leaders who are poised to create significant impact in their organizations and communities," Jenn Beer, president and CEO of Leadership Pittsburgh, said in a release. "We look forward to fostering their talent and creating opportunities for them to grow as effective and engaged leaders, which in turn supports our region’s leadership infrastructure and pipeline.”
A kickoff reception for the cohort was held on Sept. 19. The program begins this week with an opening retreat, and afterwards, the cohort will meet one-to-two times per month. They will engage in a real-life case study on a community in the Pittsburgh region, selected in partnership with the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, in order to contribute to a neighborhood development initiative to enhance the host community.
